The goal of this instructor led course is to provide a well-rounded understanding of what BigFix is, how it works, what are the moving parts, how to administrate BigFix and how to be a successful user with BigFix. This is a four day class. At the end of the class, there is a test. Pass the test with 80% or better and you will receive credit towards your BigFix Certification! There is no cost for this class.
Just to name few things in this four day class:
- This course will provide you the tools to install BigFix in a Windows or Linux environment.
- Review “What are the first steps after the install that are a “must” do.”
- How to enable your environment to know what sites computers should be subscribed to.
- How to create a software distribution package.
- How to patch an Windows, Linux endpoint.
- How to add custom reports to WebReports.
There will be many hours of hands on labs so that you can renforce what you are learning.
Class size will be limited to 12 students.
This class will use GoToMeeting as the presentation layer and Skytap as the hands on portion. You will need internet access via the standard ports: 80/443.
